Nigerians have been reacting to news that broke on Thursday that the US department of Justice have indicted 80 individuals, most of whom are Nigerians for offences ranging from conspiracy to commit fraud, conspiracy to launder money, and aggravated identity theft.
A number of the defendants, the statement said, are also facing substantive fraud and money laundering charges.
Most Nigerians believe that failed government policies are responsible for the decision taken by Nigerians to engage in criminal activities abroad.
Until every foreign country bans Nigerians from entry before our eyes will clear. Only Nigerians robbed a bank in Dubai, now 80 Nigerians arrested in USA for cyber scam, many still awaiting death sentence in Asian countries for drug trafficking. Abeg who curse us.

While a Nigerian was suggesting an embargo on Nigerians, an Ivorien was more understanding:
No one curses Nigerians, it is their choice. Many Nigerians are doing wonders in the world…

No one curse us it is out of greed, quick money on their part and also wicked and foolish leaders that are the cause. If I hear any top government official complain God will punish that person because the are learning from them. They only got better

Na our leaders still do this one
This is the excuse that has slowly but surely brought us to international disrepute. I fear for Nigerians in diaspora who are into legitimate business and those aspiring to travel out in pursuit of their life goals. They are already condemned

Sadly they cant ban us, our human resources outpower the negatives. But we must really talk to ourselves ,this stereotype will be very hard to clean.
