Former vice-president for Nigeria and former presidential canditate, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku has been trending on Twitter as Nigerians debate whether he is fit to become the country’s next president.
The tweets that got the highest amount of retweets, however, were the ones that appear critical of the former vice-president who infamously decamped from his own party while he was still vice-president of the country to contest for presidency under the banner of a different party, the Action Congress, AG.
RT if you're a Young Nigerian & won't vote for Atiku as President in 2019 🙋🏾♂️

Fellow Nigerians, Atiku was NOT side-lined…PMB simply locked him OUT of the Nigerian treasury.

At what point do they start blaming "Atiku", no longer "Jonathan", for our current economic woes?

El-Rufai insults Mama Taraba, says Buhari should sack her for supporting Atiku.
Never forget, Atiku brought el-Rufai into politics.

You campaigned for Mama Taraba in her Guber election. You told us PMB appointed her based on merit. She's now incompetent coz of Atiku. Okay

Nigerians are positioning to push Atiku forward to run.
It is almost like we never learn anything from the past

Atiku put beside Elrufai and Buhari , I will choose Atiku. But why must we vote somebody that campaigned for Buhari in 2015? No foresight!

1, APC wl never give their ticket 2 Atiku
2. He may get PDP's
3. PDP wl further reduce his marketability
Argue with your calculator

My ideal ticket will be Dankwambo/Obi
Had to restate this so that comparison on Atiku and Buhari won't be misconstrued as support for Atiku
— Ebube D Statesman (@akaebube) September 7, 2017
Atiku is a better presidential candidate in a country with vast ethnic diversity as Nigeria than Buhari or Elrufai anytime and anyday.

Human behavior is quite interesting. People here who supported Buhari in all soundness of mind are now telling others Atiku isn't an option.

At least Atiku has the good sense to hire competent social media handlers, unlike the "Fulani loan repayment" guy & Aso Rock.
