Six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt twice dipped below 10 seconds as he won the men’s 100m final in 9.87 seconds at the Anniversary Games.
The Jamaican had raced once over 100m prior to Friday night, a pedestrian 10.12 seconds in April.
Bolt came from behind to win and recorded the same time he achieved in his heat at the Olympic Stadium in London.
“Overall it was a good run,” said Bolt, 28. “I really wanted to run faster.
“But it’s getting there so that’s a good thing,” he added.
