Former Borno State Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff, Emerges As PDP Chairman

Former Borno state governor, Ali Modu Sheriff, has emerged the acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Sheriff will take over from Uche Secondus who has been acting as chairman of the party since the party lost the presidential election to the All Progressives Congress in March 2015.

Secondus took over from Adamu Mu’azu who was the national chairman of the PDP.

Modu Sheriff beat Wilberforce Juta and others to emerge as acting national chairman.

Members of the Board of Trustees of the party are currently holding a meeting in Abuja to discuss whether to accent the former governor to lead the party.
