QPR has appointed caretaker boss, Chris Ramsey, as the club’s manager’s until the end of the season, making his the only black manager of an English Premiership team.
The 52-year-old had been in temporary charge at QPR with director of football Les Ferdinand after Harry Redknapp quit to have knee surgery.
The former England U20 manager joined Rangers’ coaching staff last year after a decade as head of player development at Tottenham Hotspur’s academy.
During that time he had worked closely with former Spurs boss Redknapp.
On Tuesday QPR chairman Tony Fernandes said he had got his “dream manager”.
It is not clear if he was referring to Ramsey, or a potential permanent successor to Redknapp for next season.
