Muslims observing this year’s Ramadan fast are up for free meals from Dufil Prima Foods, Makers of Indomie Noodles, for the entire period, according to a Thisday report.
According to the company’s Group Public Relations and Events Manager, Tope Ashiwaju, the effort is geared towards poverty reduction, sustainable development and catering for the vulnerable.
He added that the season provided an opportunity for the firm to identify and connect with the Muslim population, even as the company had made available a number of mobile kitchens in central mosques across the country to cater for as many stomachs after break of fast for 30 days.
“Already, we have identified several mosques in cities across the country where freshly prepared Indomie will be served during evening break on a daily basis, that is, one mosque will be fed per day in a week. Arrangements have been put in place to ensure that everyone present in any chosen mosques is served immediately after evening prayers”, he explained.
Even as he assured of a successful exercise, Ashiwaju called on Muslim brothers to use the period to pray for the unity and soundness of Nigeria.
