Nigerian-British Liverpool winger, Jordan Ashley Femi Ibe, has just signed a record £15m four-year transfer deal from Liverpool to Bournemouth.
“We’re looking forward to seeing him to grow, he’s a huge prospect,” said chief executive Neil Blake.
Ibe made 12 Premier League starts for Liverpool last year and scored in the Reds final league game of the season at West Brom.
Ibe is eligible to play for Nigeria through his father and the Nigeria Football Federation confirmed in February 2015 that they were monitoring Ibe and would attempt to get him to switch his international allegiance. In August, Nigeria manager Sunday Oliseh made a personal appeal to Ibe in an attempt to convince him to switch allegiance but a few weeks later, he confirmed that his international future lay with England.
