A man was arrested at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo today after he approached the laureattes Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi carrying a Mexican flag stained with red paint as a sign of protest.
Dressed in black pants and grey jacket and with a camera hanging from his neck, the protestor was quickly escorted out by a security officer.
“The man was arrested,” Oslo police said. An investigation was opened, but the identity of the man was still unknown.
Mexico has been shaken by massive protests over the apparent massacre of 43 students abducted by police last September.
