Nigeria Military Admits Officers Were Selling Weapons To Boko Haram

The Nigeria military has admitted that some of its officers have arms ammunitions to Boko Haram terrorists.

In a report by AFP, Maj. Gen. Lucky Irabor, Army commander in northeastern Nigeria, gave this revelation in a press conference without giving detailed insight into the alleged betrayal.

Irabor at the news conference simply implied that some officers are selling arms and ammunition to Boko Haram, indicating the corruption in fight against the Islamic extremists.

Maj. Gen. Irabor, said that the military authorities have confirmed that some soldiers were selling arms and ammunition to Boko Haram. He called it a betrayal of the Nigerian people but gave no more details.
