Nigeria international, Brown Ideye, was on target for his club, West Bromwich Albion, on Wednesday night when he scored the opening goal in their Premier League feature against West Ham.
West Brom won by two goals to none with Saido Berahino providing the second goal.
Ideye was rewarded with rewarded with a starting XI role after scoring and providing an assist in his team’s 2-0 victory against Swansea on Saturday.
The win moved West Brom four points clear of the Premier League relegation zone.
Ideye opened the scoring with a low shot – his second goal in two games.
He then turned provider, cutting the ball back for strike partner Berahino to slot home from 12 yards.
The result moves the Baggies up to 14th, while Swansea remain ninth.
Ideye has struggled since making a £10m move from Dinamo Kiev last summer and was close to joining Qatari club Al Gharafa on transfer deadline day but he showed signs his partnership with Berahino could blossom when the duo cleverly combined to earn a corner and provide the Baggies with the first chance of the game.
