Security operatives on Saturday intercepted another suicide bomber who attempted to penetrate a transit camp of internally displaced people (IDPs) along Muna Garage in Borno state.
A security source informed journalist that the security operatives noticed the strange behavior of the bomber and gunned him down when he attempted to detonate the explosive device.
Spokesperson of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in the North-East, Ibrahim Abdulkadir, confirmed that the body of the suicide bomber had been removed.
The transit camp is used to check and screen potential displaced people before allowing them into any of the IDP Camps in Maiduguri and others in Borno State.
This came up barely a day after six people were killed in failed suicide bomb attacks on Friday morning in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
