Basic Instincts star, Sharon Stone, has done a naked shoot for the September issue of Bazaar magazine in an attempt to re-launch her career.
Nobody who has seen Basic Instincs 1 & 2 before should expect any surprise though as she hasn’t had anything surgically attached since then but she still looks good for her age.
“I’m aware that my ass looks like a bag of flapjacks,” Stone says. “But I’m not trying to be the best-looking broad in the world. At a certain point you start asking yourself, ‘What really is sexy?’ It’s not just the elevation of your boobs. It’s being present and having fun and liking yourself enough to like the person that’s with you. If I believed that sexy was trying to be who I was when I didBasic Instinct, then we’d all be having a hard day today.”
Apart from having a positive body image, she also credits her ageless features to the dermal filler Restylane, which she started using after suffering damage from a stroke in 2001. “It’s so common now for people to use fillers, it’s almost like a beauty treatment,” she says. “It’s like you have mascara and a filler. And it’s a far better alternative than having your face cut apart and ending up looking like you got sucked into a wind tunnel.”
She also talked about her struggles aneurysm and brain hemorrhage in 2001 that left her with persistent medical issues — and because of her experience while filming Law & Order (when she struggled to remember her lines) she gave herself a pep talk that serves her well today. “I thought, ‘You know what? I got thrown off the bullet train, and now I’m going to have to crawl up a hill of broken glass, get back on the train that’s going a million miles an hour, and work my way from the cattle car up,” she recalls. “That’s just the way it is, so I’d better get humble and shut the f–k up and do the job. Because if I can’t do this job, I’m certainly not going to be able to do anything else.’”
