Ahmed Musa To Return To Russia, Rohr Says

Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr has claimed that Ahmed Musa is set to return to Russia Premier League side CSKA Moscow before the close of the winter transfer market.

Musa joined The Foxes on a four-year deal in the summer of 2016 but needs to depart the club temporary as he is seeking game time ahead of the 2018 World Cup, where he’s expected to play a key role for the Super Eagles.

A permanent switch to the Muscovites is thought not to be feasible as they have to break their transfer record for arrivals, which is the 9.9 million pounds they paid to capture Seydou Doumbia from Young Boys, and Musa is valued in the region of 13.5 million pounds.

“Ahmed Musa is going back to CSKA in Russia, that is good news, because they like him there very much and he will get to play more,” Rohr was quoted as saying by the local press.
