Arsenal have retained the top spot in the English Premier league after beating Norwich City 4-1 on Saturday.
Arsenal’s start to the 2013/14 English Premier season wasn’t so impressive, losing their first match to Aston Villa but they have found their form ever since then and sit, even if not so comfortably, on top of the league table.
The visitors, Norwich City, haven’t won a match away against Arsenal in ninety years and their hopes of reversing that trend started fading when Jack Wishere opened scoring in the 18th minute with a move that started and ended with him.
The visitors launched a counter attack almost immediately but did not score only succeeding in keeping the score line at a modest one nil in favour of the gunners.
Mesut Ozil, still enjoying a much deserved honeymoon with Arsenal fans, made it two nil in favour of Arsenal in the 58th minute.
A poor clearance by Arsenal defenders was all the opportunity Norwich needed to pull one back and make it 2-1 with twenty minutes left to the end of the match.
Arsenal handled the Norwich goal quite maturely by working hard to restore the two goal advantage and their efforts were rewarded in the 83rd minute when Aaron Ramsey restored the two goal lead.
Ozil rounded sealed Arsenal’s Victory in the 88th minute with his second goal and Arsenal’s fourth goal of the match.
