Arsenal are two points clear of second placed Chelsea at the top of the English Premier League table after beating Stoke City by 3-1 on Sunday.
Sunday’s victory against Stoke will be Arsenal’s fourth consecutive Premier league victory.
Mesut Ozil hand a hand in all three of Arsenal’s goal against Stoke in his first match for Arsenal at the Emirate stadium.
Arsenal opened scoring in the 5th minute of the four-goal-encounter when Aaron Ramsey drove into the net a Mesut Ozil free kick after Jack Wilshere was fouled earlier.
Stoke City drew level in the 26th minute when Geoff Cameron coolly stroked the ball into the corner of the net from 20 yards after Arnautovic volleyed against the post from a lovely cross.
The gunners were up again nine minutes to the end of the first 45minutes when Mesut Ozil’s corner connected with Mertesacker’s head and made it to the back of the net.
Arsenal pressed hard for a third goal as the clock wound down towards the end of the first half but at the blast of the referee’s whistle for the half time break it was still 2-1 to Arsenal.
Stoke had a chance just after the hour mark but the Gunner’s goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny, was up to the task.
Arsenal’s third goal came off the head of Bacary Sagna as he meets Ozil’s cross in the air to put the ball into the right-hand corner of the net.
Arteta was replaced by Ozil who walked off to a standing ovation from Arsenal fans.
Stoke spent the remaining part of the match pressing for a goal that never came.
