Nigeria international and Crotone striker Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo was delighted with his performance on his full debut for the Super Eagles in their 1-1 draw with Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday evening.
“I think we had a good outing given the conditions of the game but there’s always a lot of room for improvement,” said Simy Nwankwo to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“No disappointments at all not to score, it is part of the game of football.”
“What is important is the work we all put in for the team and hopefully goals will come in the next opportunities.”
The 26-year-old Simy impressed in practice games leading up to the game with the Leopards and is expected to travel with the national team to London for their friendly with England this week.
