Former FCT minister, Nasir El-Rufai has been roundly condemned on Twitter and other Social Media sites by Nigerians for re-tweeting an insulting tweet to President Jonathan.
The tweet shows a picture of the President praying with hands outstretched and eyes shut. A super imposed speech bubble inserted in the picture depicted him making a long list of prayer requests, which ranged from the ASUU crisis, Boko Haram and the electricity situation.
The picture was re-tweeted by the former FCT minister who added this: “Many prayers of the lazy, docile, incompetent, clueless, hopeless, useless leader”! in response to the picture.

Many prominent Nigerian bloggers expressed disappointment at the former FCT minister for stooping so low as to insult the President being a former public holder himself.
El-Rufai stuck to his gun as he engaged Nigerians on Twitter to defend his actions.
Many Nigerians opined that his actions were ant-Christian and was only mocking Jonathan because the President was a Christian.
To the people accusing him of religious bigotry he had this to say in a more recent tweet:
