Emefiele Released To His Lawyers

Former Central Bank governor regained his freedom on Wednesday when a judge of the Abuja High Court ordered his release to three Senior Advocates of Nigeria, who have been tasked by Court Order to produce him in court at any time required to do so.

The three Senior Advocates were Matthew Burkaa, Johnson Usman, and Magaji Ibrahim.

His final release followed the signing of documents to that effect by Burkaa, who acted as the lead counsel.

Immediately after the endorsement of necessary documents by the senior lawyer, Emefiele was driven out of the court premises in a convoy of SUVs.
