Nigeria international and Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has posted a message to Leicester City fans on his Twitter account expressing disappointment over the teams failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Ndidi wrote in the Twitter message: “We are a bit disappointed to finish 5th. But overall. It was a great season!! I want to first of all thank our fans for being with us even when the stadiums were empty due to the pandemic, it was indeed a season to learn from and grow into next season thanks for support”
Leicester City had a chance to secure a Champions League qualification up till the last day of the season but lost to Manchester United who were also in contention for a top four finish that would ensure a Champions League qualification.
Interestingly, Man Utd have shown an interest in Ndidi and the Nigeria international may be considering a move to the Manchester club in order to get some Champions League football action next season.
