Joe Aribo ‘Buzzing’ After His First International Goal
Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo has declared that he was “buzzing” after his goal-scoring debut for Nigeria in yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Nigeria – and admitted that it was a “special day” for him and his family to play for the Super Eagles.
Aribo hit the net just four minutes into the clash leading Nigerian fans to lose their minds over their newly-anointed star.
The Rangers midfielder confessed the result was “unfortunate” as the hosts fought back from 2-0 down to draw level in the dying minutes but Aribo was happy overall.
“Buzzing to make my debut for Nigeria,” Aribo posted on Twitter.
Buzzing to make my debut for @NGSuperEagles unfortunate with the result but happy to score on my debut, a special day for me & my family and one I’ll remember. Thank you God #SoarSuperEagles pic.twitter.com/DT0Xxr08oW

Aribo has really impressed since signing from Charlton over the summer and has already scored four times for Rangers – leading to his call-up for Nigeria.
