“Kaduna Becomes The Hub Of Kidnapping” – Shehu Sani
The Senator that represented Kaduna Central in the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani has lamented that bandits have turned Kaduna State into their hub.
The Senator made the remarks in response to the abduction of some members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in the state on his social media handle.
It would be recalled that no fewer than eight RCCG members were kidnapped by bandits in Kaduna State on Friday evening, while on transit along Kachia Road in the southern part of the state.
Sani, in a tweet, said: “The report of the kidnapping of RCCG members along Kachia Road in Kaduna is yet another tragedy. Bandits have turned our state into their hub. Before one kidnap is resolved, another one is unfolding. Humans have become preys. On entry, you meet their snare, on exit you meet their ambush.”
Meanwhile, Kaduna State Government has expressed concern over the escalating tension in Atyap Chiefdom in Zangon Kataf local government area.
The Government has, therefore, appealed to citizens against killings, counter killings and destruction of farms and cattle in the area.
In a statement, the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said, “The Government noted with increasing concern the sequence of violent incidents, attacks and counter-attacks in Atyap Chiefdom of Zangon Kataf local government area over the past week. It is very disturbing that groups opposed to peaceful coexistence are perpetuating violence against innocent citizens, which has assumed very worrisome dimensions.
“The Government assures the peace loving people of the affected communities and the State at large of its commitment to law and order. In furtherance of this, the government has directed security agencies to take drastic actions to forestall any recurrence of violence. Search-and-rescue operations by troops and police are in progress to protect lives and properties, rescue missing citizens and apprehend the perpetrators of violence…”
