Kitchen Gaffe: Spin-Doctor-In-Chief, Garba Shehu, Says It Was Only A Joke

The Senior Special Assistant for Media and Publicity to Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has come to his defence after he came in for criticism for saying that his wife “belongs to my kitchen”.

In a series of tweets Garba Shehu urged people to see it as a joke, and says he has promoted many women:

My friends, can't a leader get a sense humour anymore? Mr. President laughed before that statement was made.
