Chelsea coach, Frank Lampard, has confirmed his confidence in centre-back Fikayo Tomori, even as he will be resting him during today’s encounter with AFC Bournmenuth.
Fikayo Tomori was not fielded during Chelsea’s last Champions League match on Tuesday because of a hip injury.
Antonio Rudiger is set to continue in defence, while Mason Mount could return after being left out in midweek.
“He has come a long way and it’s all his own doing – he has shown a work ethic and a desire to improve”, Lampard said of Tomori. “I have full trust in him and I am delighted for him, and now he must not take anything for granted.
