Man Arraigned In Ibadan For Possession Of AK-47 Live Ammunition
A man has appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrate Court for illegal possession of AK-47 live ammunition.
The accused, 33-year-old Adamu Abdulahi, of no fixed address, was on Thursday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, for allegedly possessing one AK-47 live ammunition.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Philip Amusan, told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence on October 26, at about 10:30 am along Ojoo/Akinyele road, Ibadan.
Amusan alleged that Abdulahi unlawfully had in his possession the live ammunition which he could not satisfactorily account for thereby committing an offence contrary to the criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of N100,000 with two reliable sureties in like sum.
The Magistrate, Mr. I.O Olanipekun, adjourned the case till January 25, 2024 for hearing.
