Manchester City have flown to the top of the English premiership league table after their 4-0 drubbing of Newcastle.
The first goal was scored by David Silva in the sixth minute of the match only a minute after Ben Arfa’s shot went over the bar in what could have been Newcastle’s first goal.
The second came about sixteen minutes later from Aguero with Dzerko providing the assist.
After the two goals in the first half there was no doubt that Manchester City new coach, Manuel Pellegrini was determined to make his mark not only as a Premier league coach but as a top flight premier league coach like David Moyes of Manchester United and Mourhino of Chelsea did over the weekend.
Two more goals scored by Yaya Toure in the 50th minute and Samir Nasri in the 75th ensured that Man City collected the three points for the match.
The fact that Newcastle played a man less from the 48th minute, when Seven Taylor got the matching order, could have further ruined their match strategy.
The Ameobi brothers started the match on the bench for Newcastle but Sammy Ameobi replaced Hatem Ben Arfa in the 65th minute and Shola remained on the bench throughout the match.
