Morocco Qualify For World Cup Without Conceding A Single Goal

Morocco have become the fourth African country to qualify for the 2018 World Cup taking place in Russia by beating Cote d’Ivore by two-nil.

What was even more remarkable than the Atlas Lions defeating the Elephants in Abidjan is that Morocco finished the African qualifying series without conceding a goal.

Before the match, it was only a single point separating the two teams at the top of the group, which meant whichever team won – to claim the maximum 3 points – will be heading to Russia.

A draw would have seen Morocco through so it was a ‘must-win’ for Cote d’Ivore on their home soil a feat they couldn’t perform, unfortunately.
