A Nigerian Military Jet crash landed at Yola airport on Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred when the jet lost two tires during take-off at Yola airport at about 2:30p.m.
A military source who preferred anonymity, told reporters that the military aircraft was on a mission to airlift wounded soldiers in the ongoing fight with Boko Haram insurgency from Yola to Kaduna when the incident occurred.
According to the source, though there were no casualties, the aircraft was partially damaged as a result. The incident, according to an airport source, delayed the landing and take-off of other aircrafts including that of Governor Bala Ngilari, who was to fly to Abuja for an emergency meeting.
Normalcy was restored at the airport shortly afterwards as landing and take-off of other airlines resumed as normal.
