Obama, Cameron and Danish Prime Minister, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, have been receiving a lot of condemnation after they were pictured taking a ‘selfie’ at Mandela’s memorial service held in Johannesburg.
Since the picture of the two European prime minister and American president taking a ‘selfie’ went viral it has been condemned as being disrespectful to Mandela.
Perhaps the critics believe that taking ‘selfies’ should be left to the likes of Rihanna and Nickii Minaj.
It does appear, however, that it’s the Danish Prime Minister, who suddenly found herself sitting with two of the most influential men in the world who decided to take a ‘selfie’ with them.
Ms Thorning-Schmidt is the first female Prime Minister of Denmark and she has a connection to the British political establishment.
She is married to Stephen Kinnock, son of Neil Kinnock, now Baron Kinnock, former Labour party leader.
On the other hand, Michelle Obama, seated beside her husband at the far right corner of the picture does not appear to be impressed at all.
After all, three in a picture is already a crowd.
