Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, has made known his intentions to withdraw his participation in further party activities within the PDP while remaining a card carrying member of the party.
Obasanjo’s intentions were conveyed in a letter, dated 7 January 2014 and addressed to the chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamaga Tukur.
The former president was protesting against what he described as extolling “a known habitual criminal that is wanted abroad to face criminal charges levelled against him…”
Obasanjo was referring to the Zonal Leader of PDP, South-Western Zone and attached to the said letter documents to prove his claim.
