Four officials of the Dream Team and the two remaining alternate players on the roster have been sent packing from the Olympic games in Brazil according to a report in allnigeriasoccer.com
The affected officials and players will depart the Nigeria U23s camp include the Media Officer, Timi Ebikagboro, curator, team coordinator, Stanley Dimgba and goalkeeper Yusuf Mohammed.
The reason they have been sent back to Nigeria is that they are not included in the official 25 accredited persons, that is, 18 players and 7 officials allowed by the International Olympic Committee, and both the NFF and Sports Ministry are unable to continue footing their bills in Brazil.
The officials and players departed Brazil on Monday and will arrive Nigeria in the early hours of Tuesday.
Meanwhile, NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, will arrive Sao Paulo tomorrow to support the Dream Team in his capacity as leader of the football team to the 2016 Rio Olympics.
