New Police Commissioners For Lagos, River And Ogun States
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Solomon Arase, has approved the appointments of new Commissioners of Police (CPs) for Lagos, Rivers and Ogun state commands.
They new CPs are Ajani Fatai Owoseni for Lagos, Chris Ezike for Rivers while Abdulmajid Ali is taking over the mantle of leadership of Ogun state command.
This is in line with the determination of the IGP to bring in fresh ideas in the security architecture of the three affected state commands.
The postings, according to a statement by Abayomi Shogunle, the Deputy Force Spokesman, is with immediate effect.
Other CPs affected in the new postings included Kayode C. Aderanti who will be in charge of Fed. Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FCIID FHQ and Dan Bature who will now be in charge of Intelligence FCIID FHQ, Abuja
The IGP however expressed optimism that the new postings will “reverse the crime wave in the affected states, while also strengthening administration in the affected strategic Force Headquarters Formations.”
