Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge have given the world our first view of the Royal baby, fondly referred to as ‘Prince of Cambridge’, when they emerged from St. Mary’s hospital on Tuesday.
The duchess of Cambridge came out of the hospital carrying the infant before handing him over to Prince William as the world press watched.
That historic moment was captured by hundreds of professional photographers and members of the public on their mobile phone. Most of them had been camped outside the hospital since earlier this month as the Duchess of Cambridge’s due date approached.
An obviously overjoyed Prince William joked with the press about the baby’s late arrival, which he intends to make a talking point for years to come. ‘I will remind of his tardiness when he’s a bit older, ’ the Prince joked.
He seemed to be in great spirits while talking to the press, saying that ‘he’s got her looks thankfully’ before remarking of his hair: ‘He’s got way more than me.’
