Super Eagles On Fire As They Beat Argentina 4-2 In Friendly

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have stunned even their most loyal fans by coming from two goals down to beat Argentina 4-2 in a friendly match played in Russia on Tuesday evening.

Benega and Aguero opened scoring for Argentina that saw the South American team leading by 2-nil 36 minutes into the match.

Kelechi Iheanacho was able to pull one back and make it 2-1 before the half-time whistle was blown.

A more relaxed and determined Super Eagles came out for the second half of the match and the determination was rewarded when Iwobi leveled scoring to make it two-all.

The Eagles were however not finished as Russia based Bryan Idowu, a defender, took Nigeria to the lead for the first time in the match by making it 3-2.

Idowu wrapped up the game with a superb assists from substitute Ahmed Musa, who scored both goals when the Super Eagles played the Argies during the last World Cup, to make it Argentina 2, Nigeria 4.

Argentina is not known to abandon any match before the final whistle but all attempts at the Nigerian goal did not change the score line as the match ended 4-2 in favour of Nigeria.

The Super Eagles extend their unbeaten run.
