Trump Expected To Pardon 100 People On Last Day In Office
Donald Trump is expected to issue more than 100 presidential pardons today during his final house in the White House.
Brett Bruen, former White House director of global engagement, now president of the crisis communications firm Global Situation Room, tells Sky News it is likely to be “upwards of 100 people”.
“However, it seems as though President Trump has decided that for himself, for his immediate family, they are gonna skip the pardons, and I think there are a host of reasons they have chosen to do that, not least of which are that you have to admit guilt in order to get pardoned.
“So Trump is going to leave office with a legal storm brewing on the horizon – both from potential federal crimes as well as state crimes, and let’s not forget civil lawsuits.”
