Urnaija Is Back!

We at Urnaija would like to apologise to our esteemed readers and fans for being unavailable for a greater part of Sunday, 28 June 2015.

At first we thought nefarious characters who do not like our plain speaking editorials have found a way to temporarily, (it could only be temporarily) keep us quiet but the engineers with our host company assured us that their security is robust enough to prevent that from happening. They put it down to a technical glitch, which has been fixed now so we guessed it was simply “one of those things”.

Sundays are usually “slow news days” because most people are resting and nothing much is happening except to report what celebrities or sports stars got up to the night before on Saturday.

Yesterday was a bit of an exception though, Sahara Reporters shattered the Sunday news silence with their story on the new Senate President, Olusola Saraki, when they reported that he had dual British and Nigerian citizenship and had been indicted years ago for a crime.
We apologise that we were not able to bring you that piece of news as it happened but we are back now and we will continue to fill you in on the latest details of that developing story.

Thank you for your continued patronage.
