Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom star, Idris Elba, has gone on Twitter to stage a one-man protest, not over his BAFTA snub, but on behalf of his Mandela co-star, Naomi Harris.
Nominations for The British Academy and Film Awards were made on Wednesday and both Idris Elba and Naomi Harris failed to make the nomination in any category for the awards.
The film, however, got a nomination for outstanding British film and Elba has the Golden Globes, in which he got two nominations, to look forward to.
Elba’s friend and star of ’12 Years a Slave’, Chiwetel Ejiofor, is the favourite to walk away with the best actor award.
‘Gravity’ and ’12 Years a Slave’ received the most nominations for the BAFTA awards.
