Hillary Clinton has said “I’m sorry we didn’t win this election” and says she has offered to work with Donald Trump, according to a Skynews report.

Mrs Clinton is speaking for the first time since her devastating defeat at the hands of Mr Trump.

Mrs Clinton saw her dream of becoming the first female US president slip away at the hands of the Republican, with Mr Trump comfortably surpassing the 270 Electoral College votes necessary to win the White House.
